Dear Parent/Guardian:
Glenside Middle School receives federal funds for the Title I reading programs that are part of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. As a result of receiving these funds, we must notify parents of their right to request the following information:
-- whether your child’s teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for the grade level and subject he/she teaches
-- whether any of your child’s teachers is teaching with an emergency or provisional certificate
-- the type of college degree and/or other graduate certification or degree is held by the teacher, and in what subject area they hold their certification
-- whether the child receives services from an instructional paraprofessional, and if so, what are their qualifications
To date, 100% of the teachers employed in our schools meet the highly qualified criteria. Queen Bee Schools has worked diligently to ensure that your children receive instruction from teachers who are certified in the subject areas that they are assigned to teach. In addition, we remain committed to offering comprehensive professional development programs throughout the year to keep our staff current on best practices in instruction and strategies for addressing the unique needs of all students.
If you are interested in any of this information, please contact Glenside Middle School and we will provide you with the details. We also encourage you to visit the district web site at www.queenbee16.org for facts and details related to our educational program, including the building School Improvement Plans.
Thank you for interest and involvement in your child’s education.
Sincerely,
The Board of Education and Administrative Staff of Queen Bee Schools.
