COMING UP

1. A.R. WORD COUNT CONTEST - Students will choose books and take A.R. quizes to determine which class read the most words. (From September to March)

2. DAY OF READING - Will include reading activities in all subject areas. (March)

3. NEWBERY VOTE FOR BOOKS

4. KANE COUNTY COUGARS - Students must read a specified number of minutes each week to earn a field trip to a Kane County Cougars baseball game.

5. READ TO SUCCEED


TITLE I NOTES & INFORMATION
  • Title One is a federally funded program that services "At Risk" students. We have identified "At Risk" to mean those students who have reading levels significantly below grade level.
  • Multimedia Approach is used to improve reading ability. We work on learning styles and focus on making improvement on the four (4) areas of reading which include:
    • Vocabulary
    • Fluency
    • Comprehension
    • Reading Strategies
