This office oversees all instructional
programs that are offered in District 16. The instructional
services department is responsible for the design and implementation
of the curriculum as well as the selection of instructional
materials in alignment with the Illinois Learning Standards.
We are also responsible for district assessment programs, professional
development, and technology integration and support. You can
review our curriculum by opening the link to the Comprehensive
Education Plan (CEP) below. This document provides information
regarding learning standards, local goals, assessment information,
and lists of the curriculum materials that are used to instruct
students in Queen Bee District 16.
Programs for English language learners, gifted
and talented students, and students identified as eligible
for special education are supported through the office
of special services. Please refer to their webpage
for more information. Ms. Janice Fick, Assistant Superintendent
for Special Services supervises those programs.
Queen Bee schools continue to offer excellent educational
programs to our students. As a result, our students continue
to perform well on the Illinois Standards Achievement Test
(ISAT). We will continue our commitment to offer the children
of our community an outstanding education.
