Mission, Vision and Belief Statement

Dear members of the Queen Bee Community,

On Monday evening, March 10th, 2025, The Queen Bee 16 Board of Education approved an updated Mission, Vision, and Belief Statement for the district. Board approval and adoption of the updated Mission Statement was the culmination of a collaborative process that engaged a diverse and talented group of community members and stakeholders. Over the course of several meetings, members of the Queen Bee Vision Team considered all aspects of our Districts journey from our founding in 1860 to our current work in all STEM areas and the multitude of languages and cultures supported by our district each day.  

Through the development process, the Vision Team created a clear statement about what Queen Bee 16 does, what Queen Bee 16 aspires to accomplish with the community, and the core beliefs that underpin our work. The purpose of this work was twofold. Updating the Mission, Vision, and Beliefs sends a clear and positive message to the community about what they can expect from our team while also serving as a reminder about the expectations that we strive to meet and exceed each day.  

The Vision Team did an outstanding job, and the Board of Education is excited by the optimism and accountability that is evidenced by the final product. Please feel free to contact the Superintendent at superintendent@queenbee16.org if you have any feedback to share.
